Same thing as Nebraska, and Montana.Deer out the ying-yang. Ever ride the Black Hills at night? Then you live through that, and run into all the free ranging buffalo south of there. Friggin' whitetails in herds numbering in the hundreds in northeastern Montana. The riding is worth it,though.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
I knew before I even opened this that Va. would be in there. You can't go 5 miles without seeing at least one splayed out on the side of the road.
I personally saw two get killed in front of me 2 weeks ago. One was struck by a car coming towards me and the guy ended up in a ditch (he was not injured). The second one happened less than 10 minutes later and involved the car directly in front of me. He kept the car in the road, but that dead carcass shot out from the side of his car and slid across the pavement for about 50ft. It looked like a murder scene. Thankfully he was uninjured as well. I waited with him while the police came and they just shoved that sucker off to the shoulder of the road. I rode past there day before yesterday and the bloated carcass is still there. I swear, they should call someone who could process the meat and give it to those who are struggling to feed their families instead of leaving them on the side of the road to rot.
