The WG is a good deal and easier financing. The Bad Boy is rare appx 1500 made each year from 1995-97. 37k is not bad mileage for an evo. If maintained correctly (check for leaks at rear jug and primary). Should go to 60k easy, maybe 100k without opening it up if maintained. If maintained and NOT chopped up the value of the Bad Boy will eventually surpass the value of the WG. It is a collectable.
They have been trying to sell that BB for a while (I have been watching it) make em a lower offer.
Have them fire them both up and listen....not hard to choose then.

I believe in the long run he will look back and wish he had gotten the Badboy. I would.
I have never owned a Harley before... so I reckonthis is the right bunch of strangers to ask. I like the '96 best of all and hoping someone on here "might" have exp. with it and be able to say this or that about it. I KNOW the '10 wide glide is gonna be a solid ride.
Okay...Just looking at them and not the cost or mileage...I like the '10 Dyna Wide Glide. But you can see what I ride and why I picked it.

I have been riding and working on Harley s for 40 plus years none stop. I have rode and worked on many a 96 ear softail. Like I said before many of the EVO softail vibrate like hell. Before you buy anything late check the problems many are having with them any with stock 6 speeds. My recommendation is 02 to 05 or 06 other then the Dyna. Or if you want an EVO get something that is rubber mounted or take the motor apart on a softail and balance and true the crank if it vibrates really bad.
Thank you 46U, I am still waiting to hear back about financing that '96. I will definately listen to, look at, and ride both before making a final call.
Bad Boys are nice bikes and the 96 & 97 are a little harder to find then the 95's. Lots have been chopped up where it would cost a fortune to put back to stock. This one has not been changed much from stock. Apes are not, powder coated rear wheel, pulley are not, seat is not stock but you can find those part to put her back if you want. I think it look good as is and would not be much to put her back (if wanted).
Here are the ones on ebay right now, including the one you are looking at.
Congrats you are the second person to identify the Maiden art. Just saw them last summer in Dallas - AWESOME! My sister lives in Dallas, SO don't dilly dally too long or I'll come down and get that Bad Boy myself. Been looking for one for some time. It's a good price but throw out $8000, if they don't bite, ask for some free stuff ($500).

The Fat Boy looks good and has a lot of aftermarket accessories on it. I didn't know a 2001 Harley of any kind had a 6 speed, but that's how it's listed...
The WG is newer, has the 96 and 6 speed. I have 43k on my '07 Dyna 6 speed with no issues, so don't shy away from them. This would be my choice.
