we have 15-20mph winds today but I'm going out to ride shortly. Above 20 isn't too much fun. Just cleaned the bike so it would be a damn shame not to ride.

It's blowing here 15 to 30 mph, but, it's winter........and 50 degrees. I"m riding......

I am not sure what effect the fatboy solids have in high wind but that's probably another discussion. I feel you getting out there this time of year if at all possible.

That's whatI hate about late Feb and March, it's always windy here. Today it's blowing 20 steady, gusting over 30. I was coming home just now on interstate and the wind was blowing my big International work truck pretty hard. I got passed by a guy on a crotch rocket and numerous times it gusted so hard he blow near or completely over the middle line. If it's blowing over 20 steady, I have other hobbies to occupy my time.

Anything under 50mph gust doesn't bother me. I will not ride if it gust much above that out of choice.

I've ridden in 30+ and it's a chore to keep the bike upright at stops, not to mention getting your head ripped off at high speeds. No thanks. I'll ride up to 20mph if it's not too cold.

Had a ride back from Weymouth on the south coast last year, early spring.

It's less than two hours from home but it did not stop pouring with rain and blowing a gale the entire journey. Up on the high ground was pretty hairy at times.

The restaurant we stopped in halfway wasn't impressed with the puddle we created, they were mopping around us whilst we drank our coffee...lol

I have ridden in high winds which would be gust up around 50 mph. If I don't have to do it, I'm not going to ride in winds this high. You can never relax and enjoy the ride. It is exhausting to ride all day in this kind of wind.

A nice tail wind is good but cross winds or head winds suck. You get winds strong enough you have to throttle up to keep your speed or ride at 45 degree angles it's time to head home for sure.
