That's crazy.. our family cage is a 12 Dodge Caravan and the kids Love the dvd player BUT YOU CAN NOT watch on front screen when in any gear.? In PARK yes you could choose to watch. We don't need more laws what we need is smarter drivers.

I started seeing this years ago and have been bitching ever since.I think the first time I saw it was a guy I worked for had a mount for his laptop set up (much like a LEO) so he could "work" while driving.When he wasn't working,he was watching movies on it.
He ended up driving off the road and totaling his truck in a canyon in The Black Hills.He told the cops a deer jumped in front of him,but I think we both knew the real reason.I gave him a hard time about that for a long time and needless to say,his new truck has no such distraction now,which kind of confirmed my suspicion.
It's not stupid people I dislike so much,as the ones who feel so self important that they put themselves and others at risk.IMO they need to be put down until people get the message and the madness stops.

i know in my cadillac, the dvd player will only play audio if the car is in gear. you also cannot 'play' with the nav system either, if you need to input an address, etc. then you have to pull over and park.
im with you tho, more consequences for self absorbed delinquints who ruin innocent lives based on their actions. if i can get up, i will kick the **** out of whoever wrecked me and gladly take the assault charge
