2001 sportster

I've been looking around and I found an 2001 harley sportster 1200 under the tank with 17,000 miles on it. Going for 5g's And if its too many miles on it?

I've been asking him basic questions about the bike. Is there any additional questions I should ask the seller regarding the bike.

17k miles is nothing to be concerned about, that's low mileage. BUT ... $5k is too much money for that bike. It's a $3500 to $4000 bike, max.

If you have $5k to work with, get yourself a 2004 model or higher. The motors are rubber mounted and extremely smooth runners. It really does make a big difference.

And if you're patient, you'll end up with a real nice one for $5k
