i bought a 06 roadglide in the fall motor and trans are not the same color trying to figure out what motor is from.bike has alot of motor work done, runs hot, at high rpms blows alot of oil out air cleaner and usually reads a quart low every time any suggestions!
sounds like someone changed the motor, might be best to find a good indy to help you sort it out.you might can look for numbers on the engine and trans, and take them to a dealer they might can help you that way.
First a HD has an air-cooled motor. Its possed to run HOT... Get an oil temp gauge for UR oil tank and then U can say its 220* or 280*.. then U'll know how hot it gets.
Most Harleys will spew some oil out of the A/C if U fill the oil tank to the full mark, then ride hard at high rpm''s..
Most in here learn to only fill U oil level to 1/2 way between the low and full marks.
As far as Ur paint not matching, just have someone to look at it that really knows HD's.
Like a dealer or Indy...
