Perhaps they were just letting you know that they aren't going to play nice with you today. No biggee. They do their thing, boutique style, and you do yours, shappy shiek. ***etaboutit.
Wave or not, it matters little to me. Some folk are friendly, others are not.
But to go to the effort of scooting around on your seats in order to turn your backs squarely to me? Really? They did not have an easy time of it either, as the light cycle took several minutes. Ever try to hold a bike up while sitting twisted sideways in the seat? It's not comfortable or easy!
My son used to do that when he was little. Stick his lower lip out too, and cross his arms. Couldn't see the faces of these two, but as hard as they were staring down at the curb, their lower lips might have been stuck out.
I dunno, might have been a club thing. They were both boutique riders, with perfectly matched bikes, helmets, jackets and pants. Didn't recognize the name of the club, but I did wonder if the name was intentially able to be misinterpreted. My leathers are well worn from many years of riding, and my helmet doesn't color coordinate. Maybe that offended the heck out of their sense of esthetics.
Sounds like they were just yanking your chain. Wish I'd have seen it, would laughed my *** off.
Out riding in the snow flurries the other day. Just puttering around. Two other riders come onto the road, which was rather surprising. The front rider on an Electra Glide, the rear rider on a Wing.
Gave them a quick wave. Apparently that was a bad mistake. They had been staring at me, but instantly broke contact as soon as I gave that wave.
At the next traffic light they pulled up beside me. And like a couple of bratty school children, spent their entire time there turned away from me, staring at the shoulder of the road.
Harley Rider was to ashamed to look back as his buddy was on a wing! lol

I have totally the opposite experience winter riding around here. Unlike the nicer weather when everyone is out, there are so few riders out during the winter, most of us acknowledge each other with a wave or a nod regardless of the kind of bike we're on. I guess stupidity loves company!
