Financed through Harley?

So, I bought a new bike and now I'm selling my softail and I have it listed on Craigslist. I've gotten a couple of offers from this one guy who wants me to "meet him at the local Harley dealer" because he wants to buy my bike and "he's financed through Harley?"

This smells seriously of SCAM to me, so I thought I'd see what everyone else thinks. Can you buy a used bike from a third party with Harley financing?

Yes, it's legit, they do it a bit

I almost did it myself, and had it approved from the Dealer, a 2009 Softail Custom on Craigslist

Harley was going to check it out, and finance through them for a small fee
Think $350 or something on a $9500 Bike

It's legit, man. They do it all the time. As long as your asking a fair price, HD will ussualy finance.

I've heard of others doing it that way on the forums here and I did not know Harley Dealers did that type of business. I would think its a safe way to get your money.

I don't think its a scam. I bet thats the way HD would prefer for paper work reasons. Extended warrantys and stuff. If you ever look on eBay that's how people who need financed are linked to.
