Programming a new remote security fob?

Programming a new remote security fob?
I ordered a new (replacement) security fob for my bike, but it didn't come with any instructions on how to sync it with my bike's alarm! Can anyone help with this? (And of course, I can't find my owners manual, and it doesn't appear to be in my service manual.)

FOBs are awesome. I can shut her down, drop the kickstand lean and walk off. Unless they wanna push the bike or call a flat bed, they aint getting it. Hard to start a bike when the fuel injectors and ignition modules are locked out!
