Default Road King/air shocks/tire pressure

So, I'm a new Road King owner and I've read this forum a lot and really appreciate it. It sounds like I need to buy one of the pumps that Harley sells and do some experimenting with the air suspension. But as I've hears so many complaints about the difficulty of maintaining/checking air pressure in the rear tire. I asked my man and he said just remove the bag when you want to check it. I'm hearing the Harley gauge may also be used to keep the rear tire at the correct pressure...is that 40 PSI?

My bagger calls for 36# in both tires. I run about 20 in the rear shocks, depends on your weight and weight of passenger.

I ride solo only and keep the shocks around 12 to 15 to get the smoothest ride, but still not great.
Rear tire 36 lbs front 34 lbs, but this is just my self, may not be the best way but it's mine.
I love my King and I hope you will to.

The Harley air shock pump is a good one. Your owner's manual will have the pressure specs. I usually put my RK up on a Sears (yellow) motorcycle/ATV lift when I wash it, and I think that's the best time to check the tire pressure.
