I couldn't help it. With all these threads about lying techs and lying customers, this article couldn't have come at a more enlightening moment....Check it out!
Seems that folks will lie about anything, even if it could mean their very life!
Cyndi Smith, a 45-year-old Weight Watchers leader in suburban Chicago, admits her own lying past when it came to questions about her exercise and eating habits. She says she lied because she was fooling herself.
âYou convince yourself of certain things, and it becomes true, when in reality itâs not,â she said. If her doctor had questioned her more thoroughly, she says she might have told the truth.
âI think doctors could be a little more point-blank,â she said. âAnd we need to be a little more honest.â
Cyndi: "My back kinda hurts, and I get out of breathe easily."
Dr.: "Thats because you're a great big fat ****. Lose 50lbs."
I somehow think Cyndi would still not appreciate the results of her wanting blunt doctors.
On the other hand does everyone assume that everyone is lying? I actually had an argument with my doctor because he said I must be doing somethingI told him I was not several times.
The thing is now who is putting who at risk? I am trying to have him address a real concern and he is arguing with me that I must be lying.
