How do you clean and polish your laced wheels?
Best bet is to remove them from the motorcycle and install some nice custom wheels. While the wheels are sitting there in the garage they will be much easier to clean and, after hanging them on the wall, will only require occasional dusting!

P.S. A thick shoelace rapped around the spoke with some Mother's works pretty good.

I have used the Mothers Powerball mini. It comes with an extension so that you can get into the wheel without getting the drill too close. It seems to work pretty good. But if you have the afternoon with nothing better to do, polish them one at a time.
Just my opinion but they do look great going down the road.

I bought a couple of cheap, soft bristle brushes that work great for most of the road grime, then you gotta use soft rags to finish. Same thing for polish, use old t-shirts or socks. Since I ride a bagger, it's a pain having to remove said bags to really get at the rear wheel. Since I'm moving to a larger house, with a large 2 car garage, I'm now looking for a jack,(didn't have room before), then it'll be an easier job,.but for those of us who love the look of laced, ya gotta keep 'em clean!! Oh, a few cold ones and some good tunes don't hurt either!

If you think you have it rough...Just think about the old chain days. I used to get mine all polished up and within 15 feet of riding they were covered with chain oil. I finally said **** on it. The chain needed the oil more than the wheels needed to shine. Rarely cleaned the rear at all. Did the front pretty regularly. It iritated me though. That is the only thing I dislike about the Street Bob, Laced wheels.

Make it a two afternoon deal the first time and once you're done cleaning and polishing put on coat of high quality wax and it will make cleaning them easier next time.
