When I was looking for a leather jacket I was told to look for a jacket made in America or Pakistan, reason be is that the US and Pakistan use true cow leather not pigskin or whatever they call that stuff in China. As for summer weather I usually wear leather, just remember to drink lots of water or other beverages of your choice so you dont get dehydrated.
Here's what I got from Leatherup for warm weather here in New Mexico.
Has a zipout thinsulate liner and removable armor.Air sure zips right through it.
This summer will be the test. Silver Padded Armored Breathable Mesh Motorcycle Jackets
Philip: took you recommendation and just ordered the Voodoo Leather Mesh/Jacket. Great recommendations on this thread, not enough money to test all of them.
I also found the "summertime legware" thread very interesting. What "legware" do you wear in the summe?
Again thanks to all of you.... Wonder what questor ended up doing..

You can see my reply in that thread. The leather overpants I refer to arrived today, but were way too small in the waist, so I sent them back for a larger size.
I'm sure you will like the jacket a LOT in the summer.
I bought one of these jackets, and wore it for the first time today. It WAS much cooler than my $9zillion HD leather jacket, but it feels goofy. It really is just a container for the protective plates, and I hope if I ever fall that the plates will stay close enough to where they need to be. It is the right size, but doesn't fit very well.
I realize the HD jackets are overpriced, but they do work well. This jacket that I paid $80 for is better than not wearing a jacket at all in warm weather, which is why I bought it. But it DID make me appreciate how well the HD stuff works.
