Anyone else have an issue with the large seams on the back of jeans causing a hot spot when you ride for longer periods?
When I ride with jeans for any length of time over probably an hour, the area below circled in red starts bugging me and causing a hotspot. Does this happen to anyone else or do I just have a sensitive a$$?
I found a pair of khaki style wrangles at Walmart that don't have this seam and it doesn't bother me, just wondering what other people wear that may have this same issue.
BTW, I don't wear ladies jeans, just didn't want to post a picture of a dudes backside on here.
I did find that the passenger seat of my Heritage rubbed me in just that spot. I changed the seat to the touring seat for my wife's comfort and it just so happened was much more comfortable for me.
Add me to the list of admirers of that pic you posted.
As far as your problem, my guess is you don't have a lot of fat back there and that night *** seem is digging in. I have experiences this on occasion (although not to the extent that I was willing to submit to the humiliation by posting). I use an Alaskan Sheepskin seat cover. It follows the contour of the seat high enough that it insulates seems from the relatively firm vkmyl at that part of the seat. Thinner denim helps too, but as one mentioned, it does nothing for crash protection.
edit - I'm leaving the text above intact as an example of why NOT to use a smart phone when responding to threads. I don't know what I typed - but "night ***" wasn't it. I can't even submit what the autofill put in instead of "contour". It was down right pornographic. Some software dude at Motorola has a sick sense of humor. Oh, and vkmyl is vinyl.
