Yes, as long as the quality of the jack was superior to the current Chinese made bottle jack. That being said, I already own a J&S jack and I can't imagine I will need to buy another one and I have replaced the bottle jack on my own once.

It's the quality of the product to me, not the place of manufacture of the components. The extra $60-70 for a bottle jack seems excessive. I would have likely bought it anyways since the bottle jack component was not the main concern.
