I think its fine to support HD but if your going to be a walking billboard you better be getting paid to do so. As for the grill I would suggest another one and spend the cash you saved on some bike upgrades. Do you really want to have to start blacking out or chroming your grill? WHat about cams on the grill and a efi tuner, dyno tuning your grill gets mighty expensive! I know mine runs a solid 25hp and 25tq I even got a t-shirt I am in the 25/25 club.
To each their own. There's this old timer biker that I see around here from time to time. He rides an older Harley with a hack. I was in CVS and he happened to be in there also. We go to talking again. He's a great dude. He's been riding since the 60s and he's been in a few clubs in his day. He wears well used Harley garb. So what?
The best part is, to me anyway, he's MOT like myself.

I wear a ton of Harley stuff.
We have a dealer with awesome sales. The shirts hold up and I like the styles.
I don't know why people have this "Fu*k the MoCo" attitude. We ride Harley's, so why not show some support as well. I'm a Boise State fan and in football season I wear Boise State shirts, hats, hoodies... Whatever. Am I an ******* for that?
I only have a couple Harley shirts, a belt and buckle, and a hat somewhere, but I think I'm gonna start buying up as many as I can now. Let someone try and tell me to my face I'm an ******* for it.

Personally, I only wear my gear when I'm riding. I only have 2 Harley shirts given to me as a gift. I wear them as part of my regular T-shirt rotation. I don't care what anyone wears. Why should I? If it doesn't effect me any.
I think more people should be monitoring what their teenage daughters are wearing and less about what some guy on a Harley is wearing.
I don't wear harley clothing because I'm not overpaying for a shirt made in china. I have a few garbs but I find it a poor investment of my money. But I won't tell you how to spend yours.
I like my steaks medium rare, maybe OP can get a HD branding logo as well and we can charge more than Ruth Chris!

...Might have been the nicest guy she, or you, would ever meet.
Sorry, didn't know you were on the flight...
LOL -- he could indeed have been the "nicest guy". Personally, I don't really care what other people wear or do, as long as it doesn't affect me or mine. And I do have a pair of HD boots, a pair of HD gloves, a HD mesh jacket, a HD cap, and a few HD shirts -- and I've been known to purchase another shirt when I'm passing thru some remote or unusual (for me) dealership. My wife (who doesn't ride) is more judgemental, but at least she didn't say anything to the guy -- she also is pretty critical of 300-lb bikers on Sporties. Fortunately for me, I've reached a level of maturity (or just got old enough) to where I can watch other people make total fools of themselves without feeling any irresistable impulse to join in.
