I remember reading, a few years ago, about Brett Favre getting an important phone call at his home from his Agent. All excited, the Agent demanded that Brett report to the team office RIGHT NOW to sign the first $100 Million dollar pro quarterback contract, and that league dignitaries and team owners as well as the press were there waiting on him RIGHT NOW.
Brett responded that he would make it down there - as soon as he finished cutting his grass. And that's what he did! Later, folks were telling him that with that kind of money, he could afford to have his grass cut, but he said he enjoyed cutting his own grass, and took pride in knowing it was cut right and looked good.
OP, Brett would advise you to cut the grass, then ride.
I went for a nice ride in the country on my Time Machine this morning. Then I mowed the lawn with my almost new lawnmower that someone had put out for the trash man. Just needed a carb rebuild and oil change. Now I'm going to grill some steaks and drink some Guiness Life is good!
This cool wet spring has been kicking my ***. I've got an acre and a half to mow and every time I get home and want to go for a ride, the grass taunts me. TAUNTS ME!
I mowed mine today before I went for a ride. Makes the wife happy especially with company coming on Sunday and rain tomorrow. Besides bed is more comfortable than the truck
You younger guys will eventually learn that the grass will always need mowing and the more important thing to do is go for a ride. Life is short and we never know when it will end. The day I die I hope the lawn needs mowing and I have just come home from a long ride.
