NOTE... to all who have any Dealer or INDY work on their bike
I learned at my 1k service to have them check the bike over when they get it and make note of any scratches, dings ETC, and check it again before I ride away.
I had two little scratches on my fenders done at that 1k service, but didn't notice till next time I cleaned her several days later. MY bad..
Also check the oils and air pressure ..
Another reason I do all that I can of my own work any more.
The dealer by me does a walk around your bike when you drop it off for service. Years ago I dropped my Evo ultra classic off for a speedometer cable. And when I picked it up, it had a bad rattle. Turns out the certified for some reason took the front brake calipers off and never put the anti rattle clips back in. They tried to say it was like that when I brought it in, with out checking their own checklist. Then got all apologetic when they checked their list and there was no mention of it. They fixed it, but I had to wait another hour. If someone works on your bike, go over it like the dealer did and make sure it done right and not damaged. Once you leave their shop, it's too late to blame them for anything.,,
there are mechanics, and there are "parts changers"....
some people think they are the same ..........Aint so.
Yeah, they don't call them mechanics...they are "techs" whatever that means.

Yep, a few years ago a different dealer sent me on my way with NO fluid in the trans. Fortunately I use redline, so there was still some on my gears. Did not discover it until the next day...it was just a little bit different than normal sounding.
Put another 50K on that trans before selling the bike. Good testament to redline and the durability of the 5 speed trans HD made.

That was my first thought. It appears it was.
My bet is that he did not warm it up before draining the oil, so more than should have stayed in the engine.
