When I was a kid, had just got my first sporty. I was tooling along, and saw my buddy
riding in the other direction on his new sporty. Wanting to make a u turn to meet up with him,
I started braking while my head was still turned around looking at him go by..
Big mistake, never apply your front brake while not looking at the road in front of you.
The front tire hit some sand, and me and the sporty ate pavement!
My bud was laughing his *** off too.
Only damage was the directional, and left brake lever, and a couple of scrapes

another time I went to a party pulling in on the lawn at a high rate of speed.
Trying to impress your friends by doing a donut, is not a good idea after the dew is on the grass!
result was instant drop, and lot of laughing friends!

a very close call was trying to do a burnout at my neighbors on my new electraglide.
thought I revved it up pretty good, but when I dumped the clutch, the bike just learched
out from under me, did a good sized wheelie while I tried to hold on to the grips.
when it wheelied, I lost one grip, now I was trying to control a wobbling, wheelying,
800 lbs bike while almost laying down on the seat, with one hand, desperately trying to get a hold of
the other grip, as the bike was heading into the woods at a rapid rate.
I finally pulled myself back up, got a hold of the grip, and
settled the wobble down just in time to save it from hitting a tree. Mind you, all this happened in a few seconds,
and I was very lucky to regain control!
It was actually an awesome save if I might say so myself..haha
since then , I stopped trying to be cool in front of the neighbors..

another one when a teenager, I had been out drinking, came home a decided to take out my dirt bike
and run some wheelies up and down the neighborhood.
this also had some neighbors in the story that needed some entetainment, and were out on thier porch drinking beer.
I had a few good runs, but the last time, I went to shift, and went over backwards and sidewards,
breaking my ankle (didn't discover that until the next day). The neighbor came over a gave me a six pack,
just because he said it was fun to watch! haha
