I'm not sure yet how to navigate where to post certain things, as you can probably tell from this post.
I went to the softail area and asked what my bike was worth. I'm not trying to sell it just curious as the upstate NY market isn't that good.
Anyway, the thread was removed.
Any thoughts? Thx Dave
General rule of thumb--blue book value. All your shiny add ons, custom paint, etc really don't add to the value. Those were expenses not investments. That may not be fair, but life's not fair. Your experience may vary if you find the right buyer. Good luck
Did it say it was removed ? If so its usually because something inappropriate was said or its in the wrong forum, annoyingly the mods don't tell you where it's been moved to, although I had one removed because I'd posted it on 2 different forums I did get an email telling me about it, sometimes as well, and there's been a few threads about this posts just disappear nothing about them being removed theyre just gone who knows where, asking about how much your bike is worth shouldn't have been a problem, I've seen quite a few posts like that, assuming you've got a Softail and not a Dyna or something, try posting it again see what happens.
Nothing inappropriate I simply asked the value. Now, it did just disappear.... and that could explain it. I thought it was started in the wrong place and if it was moved, someone may have mentioned where it was moved to.
No biggie, I'm not selling, this year anyway. Thx!
Click on your user cp. Then click all subscribed threads. If its not there then it was removed. If it was removed it could have been some else posted something inappropriate and a mod removed it. It is not inappropriate for you to ask a value.
Suck it up and move on. One thing I've noticed around here that really pisses off the mods is when they remove a thread then the user opens up another one to discuss the exact same thing. I also noticed they don't like whiny emails bugging them about why they did something.
It was removed because it read as though you were trying to sell your bike. You haven't been here long enough to post an ad. You need to have 5 posts and be a member for over 30 days.
