Just want to put this out there.. To all of you who've taken the pledge and worn the uniform.. thank you for your service. And to those who've made the ultimate sacrifice.. Rest In Peace, Godspeed, and know in your rest we will never forget..
My thanks to all the veteran's here.. and I hope everyone on the board has a great Memorial Day.
A grounds keeper in a midwestern veterans cemetary noticed this visitor, and he came back every day that week. The grounds keeper took this photo on the 4th day he was there.
I think it pretty much sums up Memorial Day in one photo....
Not trying to hijack your thread, but had an interesting experience yesterday at Rolling Thunder I thought some of you may be interested in. Was at Fort Washington Harley Davidson on the Ride to the Wall. Went to the free coffee and donut area to charge up for the ride into D.C. and said hello to a guy who said he comes out from L.A. every year. He thanked me and my wife for our service after talking for a few minutes, me 4 years Navy and the wife, Navy, retired Chief. A guy he was with alluded to the fact the other guy only "plays" one sometimes. They got called away to his riding group. Some of our group and I start thinking that guy looked kind of familiar. Turns out it was Robert Patrick from Terminator 2, and other movies and tv programs. He was a great guy and completely unassuming. I will be sure to follow his work.
Had a great day at Rolling Thunder, and thank each and every veteran out there for their service!
Your not high jacking the thread.. not at all, that's a cool story. I'm former Navy too so.. thanks for sharing that. This is the first time in 5 or so years I haven't made it Rolling Thunder because of an accident I had... but I'm glad you made it.. I'll be back next year. Thanks again
