Cortech DSX denim. Does everything. Removable armor, zip out liner, plenty of zip vents. It can be configured for warm or cold and a variety of situations. I bought one three years ago for $99. It's all I use anymore.

I've had my H-D California Patrol police jacket (removable fur collar) for at least a decade if not more.
It's a "L" so the sleeves and tail are long enough to cover everything.
It also has a removable fur liner that of I've only removed once.
Being made for CA it's not really a cold weather jacket but it's large enough that I can wear a sweatshirt and thermal under it and I bought my H-D rain gear large enough to fit over top of it.
Just last summer I bought a H-D "mesh" jack and it works great on those hot, sunny days but a light, long sleeve shirt would also work well when the temps drop a bit.

I know. Leather in the winter wouldn't work in he summer, where I might wear something very light that will keep the sun off of me.

FXRG mid weight leather jacket is as close to a "one jacket" as I've seen. It's well insulated for the very cold, water proof for the rain, its vented and the leather is treated to reflect raidient heat. I've worn it from the 20s to the mid 80s in comfort.

Love my Harley leather up to about 75 to 80 degrees . Than take it off ride in shirt with button pockets or tee shirt.

I just bought a HD switchback jacket. It is a mesh jacket with a zip on textile cover. It also has a waterproof liner. It is every season jacket all in one.

If I'm out for more than a day I always seem to have more than one. But if only one, it would be the Aerostich Darian lightweight. The damn thing flows more air than my vented jackets and with a polartec liner and electric vest it does any weather.

The FXRG textle is one heck of a jacket. But it's too heavy IMO for summer riding.
