A 147 MPH Bagger??
Some guy I know, I won't call him a 'friend' but he is someone I have to put up with, says he was clocked at 147MPH on his 2003 Classic.
I called "BULLSHIT" and asked what he had in it. He says his mechanic and some 'brothers' (he's a wannabe 1%) worked on it and that it will do 147MPH.
I don't see it.
Am I being too negative? Am I being a dick?
147MPH on ANYTHING is flat-out bookin'
On a bagger? I just don't see it.
I think it would take 175+ HP to push one of those things that fast. Especially with that batwing on the front.
Opinions?

I don't see what the big deal is Grendel, your's will top out at 148.

If you want to spend the time and cash it not hard to make one go that fast .They have been built to do more that that. I see no reason to but they is why they invented Harley so we can do what ever we want.
Have you ever even looked at what these folks do with the Vtwin . Not your run of the mill so called builders they make it do what ever you want.

The factory control module and rev limiter on my Ultra would feather out the throttle right at that speed. So maybe a theoretical 147? Well, only theoretical. Mine has had some work but still runs out of torque to overcome air pressure and stuff before that anyway. That's fine!!!
