Everyone does the slow fall of shame at some point, years ago I pulled up outside a shop and put my foot down into a dip and managed to hold the bike for a moment before having to slowing ease it down to earth, felt like a real plonker.
That sucks but everyone does it at some point. Maybe next time you'll just park in a parking space. Pet peeve of mine, plus I've seen enough bikes get hit being parked where no one would assume they would be or messed with by people who feel motorcycles should park where every other motorized vehicle parks. If your worried about it carry more insurance or leave it in the garage wrapped in bubble wrap.
Just remembered a couple of weeks ago a guy on a Triumph riding out of well known biker haunt, he was only doing around 5 mph going around a corner and the bike just cut out for some reason, and the bike just went down dumping the rider in front of numerous bikers, luckily the bike had cotton reels fitted to it so the only thing that got damaged was the guys pride.
Mine was target fixation, pulling out of backyard and saw the hole that Dufess had dug, front tire caught edge of hole, handle bar swung fast and down I went.
Month ago wife dropped her sporty. Missed our turn, found a spot to turn around but it was gravel. Wife did ok turning, then as I was watching she stopped then just like a big ol oak tree the bike leans left and starts falling. I didn't think that old woman could do a side step that fast so the bike wouldn't pin her leg.
It was all my fault she said, you know how I hate F****** gravel, net time if I have to drive 50 miles to find a spot to turn around thats what I'll do. Yes dear, glad you didn't hurt your leg.

My RK was new and I was aware of that extra 100 lbs. Lots of restaurants will let bikes park right at the front door. This place had valet parking. I'd never been there. The valet gave me a hand signal to enter a curbed sidewalk. I needed just a tad more speed or a little more analysis of what I needed to do, but instead I let it just plop over. No damage at all but to my feelings.
