Synthetic oils that state they are formulated for all three holes is fine, not regular dino oil.
That being said gear oil in the tranny as already stated.

That's BS about the reman part, the MOCO will do that, he's looking to cash in on ya. But if you trust them, go for it.

I run Syn3 in all three locations on all of my bikes. I have never had any issues. Makes it very easy on long trips. A ketchup squeeze bottle carried with Syn3 to top off any fluid location.

I've been using Unicorn **** for all of my fluids, and I tell you what, the bike rides itself, and any hot chick within eye sight waves...

Seriously though, gear oil in the transmission and synthetic for engine and primary.

What kind of gear oil do you use? I know this is a widely discussed and beaten to death topic, but I currently have Red Line in mine and it slips right into N, without any issues.

Using off the shelf trans/gear product from HD.
Seems like when I changed the trans and primary, that the fluid didnt look used at all like motor oil does. And I have never changed it since I have it. (3 years).

I change motor oil every 1500 with syn oil.

The CVO bikes ship with Syn3 in all 3 holes right from the factory.

Many people don't like using something like that in the tranny though.
They want that "gear oil" in there.

I have used Syn3 in all three holes on two new bikes. Recently went to Redline Shockproof in tranny only but continue to use Syn3 in engine and primary.

That's what I run in the engine/primary (syn).
