Synthetic oils that state they are formulated for all three holes is fine, not regular dino oil.
That being said gear oil in the tranny as already stated.
That's BS about the reman part, the MOCO will do that, he's looking to cash in on ya. But if you trust them, go for it.
I run Syn3 in all three locations on all of my bikes. I have never had any issues. Makes it very easy on long trips. A ketchup squeeze bottle carried with Syn3 to top off any fluid location.
Not gonna lie...I just changed all three fluids last weekend.
HD syn in motor
HD gear oil in trans and primary.
......Its harder to find N now for some reason. Dont know why...
What kind of gear oil do you use? I know this is a widely discussed and beaten to death topic, but I currently have Red Line in mine and it slips right into N, without any issues.

Using off the shelf trans/gear product from HD.
Seems like when I changed the trans and primary, that the fluid didnt look used at all like motor oil does. And I have never changed it since I have it. (3 years).
I have used Syn3 in all three holes on two new bikes. Recently went to Redline Shockproof in tranny only but continue to use Syn3 in engine and primary.
