I'm not sure what was more disturbing; the fact you posted that video and have probably watched it a time or two or the fact that I just did!! I was waiting on **** or something!!Seriously, I would have taken ripping the trottle as a wave if he wasn't able to do so with his clutch hand. I prefer a definitive head nod myself. But that is just me. I would have been fine with that. Recently, I have come to only wave at those who wave first. Got tired of waving with no response.
I passed a nice bike with Apes today and gave a wave. He was a red light and had his hand on the clutch and could not waive back. He did, however, give the throttle a rap as I passed. Would this be considered a "wave" in this case?
BTW, his pipes sounded so much better than mine. All I hear when I ride is the clanging of the pistons. If I get off and give the throttle a little pull, I can hear the exhaust; but not when I ride.
I need something else besides stock pipes...
I could be wrong, but a nod would have worked. Revving the throttle seems like an a$$holish thing to me personally....he was clearly punking you!

He was obviously pissed because you looked better in your rhinstone chaps than he did and if you have Dooney and Bourke saddle bags he was prolly calling you a **** even though he was really jealous...and don't you worry gir...I mean guy, no matter how good his pipes sound it's all about how you look[sm=kiss.gif]

If I'm not mistaken it does state on page 37 of the, "Sportster Riders Guide To Road Etiquette" better known as the, "I'm A Real Biker, Aren't I", handbook that waving at any bike other than a Sporty just like yours will get you three demerits. Anyone with 5 demerits or more in a two ride period will have to ride a rice burner nakked to the annual nationalmeeting of the notorious Black Widows MC.
So, you can't really be pissed at all Sporty riders, that one could have had 4 demerits already.

Thanks,
That's what I thought. It was dusk and getting to the point that waves were moot. I considered the throttle a wave. I have never been denied a wave on William Cannon (Austin, TX) except from a sporty. ( Yes I waved to a sporty, but he screwed it for the rest of them by not waiving back).
