the only harley riders in my age group (i'm 18) are girls. maybe we are the future of hd? the guys my age all want a sport bike even though you're much more likely to get killed on a sport bike. statistics show 80% of fatal motorcycle crashes involve sportbikes. i guess its that whole macho thing. well anyway long live harley davidson!!
Hey I'm one of the cool guys that got a Harley at 18. I'm 20 now. Dang I guess now I know I'm not the youngest on the forum anymore. Welcome Dragonfiregirl!
I see that your post here was only #3, so first of all, welcome to the Forums from the warming Hudson Valley of NY. While most of us here remember being 18 at sometime in the past, from the posts and surveys, I wouild guess many if not most of us are a good 20 years past 18. I agree that most of the 20 something males at least in my general area love being crotch rocketerrs, there are a few who actually ride Harleys. For someone at your age to be riding a bike at all is pretty great, even better that it is a Harley.
I don't think that a female, riding any bike, let alone a HD at 18 is all that strange. Around here partents buy their kids Beemers and other expensive toys as HS graduation presents, so I don't see where a bike should be all that different.
