Default Load capacity issues when ordering tires

I recently ordered front and rear tires from Motorcycle Superstores. I followed the directions on the web page. I ordered the same size tire as I took off, same brand too (Metzeler) My bike wobbled til my feet fell asleep and after talking to Rep they sent me out another tire just the same size and make, same issue. After going on line with JP Cycles their web page lists two different part #s for the same size tires..After long and hard discussions with Superstores they tell me I purchased tires for a cruiser not a touring Harley. Nowhere on the site did it ask if I rode a cruiser or Harley. Now after spending 500 in tires 120 in labor I have to buy the right tires from them and have them mounted costing a total of 380 more. Superstores wont take back the tires even though their web page has a defect in it. The sister store to Superstores is JP and JP lists things in a way the customer can submit make, model and year of bike so the right parts get to the customer. I just want bikers to be aware of the issue so this doesn't happen to you. If you have bought from them and ride a tour style Harley make sure you have the proper load capacity tires on your ride. One is 600lb and one is 800lb capacity. riding on the wrong tire could cost you more than money. Whats your life worth? Be careful family. I was lucky and found the flaw in the website. How many bikes are out there right now with the wrong tires on them?

Load rating is easily more important than size. I always make sure the load rating is correct for the application. I usually buy my tires from eBay, and if the load rating isn't posted in the auction, it's no use to me. I'm amazed that even tire sellers don't realize that load rating is very, very important.

Wobbled til your feet fell asleep? Going staight down the road?
Or do you have a shimmy/vibration?

Sounds like you need someone who knows what they are doing to mount and balance the tires, and install the wheels and correctly align the rear.
