I too have an FXRG jacket, if it gets above 50-60 degrees and you stop, you'll sweat. I have ridden most of the winter, that jacket is worth the money! It's a little heavy in my size, alot of leather in a 3x, I got 25% off of $620, not bad I guess. I also bought the FXRG gloves great all around gloves, there is even a little wiper on the left index finger to wipe your visor in rain. BUT!!! they aren't very good for cold temps. My fingers get cold from the 2nd knuckle up to the tips. They have gortex in them to keep rain out, I thought they were a little pricey at $120. Hey it's only money, thats what I tell the wifey.
This might be a stupid question, but what does the kidney belt do?
It provides some back support especially on rough roads.
What it does for me is cushion my back when I sit too far back in the seat and the damn rail hits me.
I also figure that it might cushion a bit if I ever hit that area on the road.
I've used my midweight leather fxrg in temps into the 100's.
I'd say its perfectly comfortable into the mid 80's, then it gets warm. Never too bad though.
I use a mesh when its 80+
Same here.
I bought mine off Ebay for a little over $300. Best riding jacket I own.
