My spending has been exceptionally upper end. I am able to do it because I know nothing about money.
Now figure that out.
That sounds like the typical person who spends more than they make and is up to their eyeballs in debt. I have no idea if that's your situation, but it certainly applies to many folks. Personally, I won't buy a motorcycle unless I can pay cash for it, same with cars. My only debt is my mortgage and at today's interest rates combined with the tax advantages it's cheaper for me to keep paying my mortgage than it would be to pay it off.
Only three individuals / groups get to know my income.
1) My Wife
2) My accountant
3) The IRS. Yeah, that's right, the IRS, I would never, ever lie to the IRS. Cross my heart, honest *****.
Anyway my point is that you and your poll rate way, way below the IRS.
Now do you really want me to answer your silly question?
Now ain't that special. The word removed above was the proper spelling for the saying "HONEST ENGINE" I guess the word ***** is way to dirty and evil and not PC enough in this age... Sheesh....

Thats silly, youll never get back more than 100% of the interest you pay on your mortgage on taxes.
Poll was effed up and wouldn't let me answer. 103,000 last year with overtime. I'm a blue collar fireman close to seattle. I work hard for my money and spend lots of time working overtime shifts.
some days I make too much, other days I don't make enough.
For 2001-2005 the average Harley owner was 45-47 years old. Average income range was $78,000-$81,000. So far his little poll looks to be hitting it pretty close.
Interestingly, Harley has stopped publishing the demographics of its buyers. From 1999 on the average age was increasing 6 months per year. (statistically, that is huge)
Harley states it is currently 49 yrs 6 mos.

That's gotta be new buyers... and those numbers would logically skew higher (both age and income).
Harley couldn't possibly have that information on "owners"... and I doubt they'd waste time doing accurate polling. Market research sure... but not polling.

I guess that explains a lot of what Harley is doing with marketing, they are trying to attract younger buyers....
