I've ridden in Florida, the worst part for me was the salt air. You HAVE to keep the bike clean there or risk corrosion especially on aluminum parts.

We've actually had a moderate season this year so far, but can have 2" of rain in an hour - and that causes flash flooding because of the mountains. We don't have very good drainage here.

We get a lot of dust storms, then rain. Riding on wet roads even for short distances will coat the bike pretty good.

I never thought about desert dust storms adding filth to the rain. The 35.1 inches we've had since June 1st keeps Florida's roads quite clean in comparison.

I love when the guys who ride less than I do make the jokes about the guys with clean bikes. Be honest, you're just lazy. Nothing wrong with it, different strokes for different folks.

Mine got washed this past Sunday......got caught in a rain squall.
Think her last proper "washing" with soap 'n a sponge was a few days after 4th of July weekend.

If it's not clean I don't ride it. I don't spend hours cleaning-I just keep it clean so everytime I give it a wipe down it does not take long, also not riding in the rain helps a ton. You could eat of my HD anytime. The C50 bobber I keep it clean, but not like the HD. Hell I don't even like driving my Jeep after it gets cought in the rain till I can wash it. When I see a very dirty car, bike, house or whatever I just see lazyness and someone that does not respect what they have, but to each his own.

Mine usually only gets washed on the lift with soap, sponge and water about once or twice a year. It does get the bug guts knocked off generally after every ride with Plexus and microfiber towels though. Would rather ride than clean, my bike has never had a toothbrush taken to it anywhere.....

My bike is a daily driver during the week so after 12 to 14hrs from door to door I just don't have the energy or time to clean it. Every few weeks it gets a bath.

I like to "joke" that I wash mine once a year whether it needs it or not, but it's been 13 months now.. so I guess that's not true. Here's a shot of my driveway though.. what's the point?

I make money washing my bike. I ride it to wherever there's a drought in the country, promise rain for a fee, then wash my bike, and start counting the bucks. Never fails.,,,

Yeah, that looks hopeless. Especially with a black bike. Silver or white hide dust pretty well.
