Cobra Fi2000 tuner
#2
Over the years I have used them in a 02 Honda VTX1800, 07 FXSTC, 10 Dyna Super Glide, 10 Ultra, 11 XL1200, 12 RGC, 12 RGC CVO. I use them along with a stage one air breather but stock pipes. That helps improve torque.
I sold the Honda after 7 years of use and the Cobra functioned all the way through. I still have all the HD's and have never had an issue with any of the Cobra's.
Two are the FI2000R that have 02 eliminators and run in open loop. The rest are FI2000R-CL that use the 02's. I have not detected any advantage. The closed loop models are about $30 higher than the open loop version.
They are plug and play and operate downstream of the HD ECM by increasing the AFR. Smooth with no flat spots. The engine runs much cooler but I do enhance that with an oil cooler if the bike did not come with one. A cooler motor runs stronger and lasts longer.
Just by my seat dyno a TC 96 with the Cobra will just about keep up with the same bike with a stock 103. The 103 with the Cobra seems to get the most benefit. Runs much stronger, cooler and no pinging which the 103 is known for.
Once I run the Cobra, I switch to 89 octane for more complete burning thus a gain in HP. Again that is without any pinging. I do that on the 110 CVO with the same results. It got a bigger kick in the pants when I added it.
I have got them all from J&P. I wait until at least the 10% of sale and free shipping. The Black Friday sales have reached 20% off.
I do not intend to try the Cobra Pro. It is way to pricey and from the literature it is active only during acceleration.
I suspect few have had the experience with Cobras that I have had. They all performed as claimed. Stronger running, cooler running, improved mpg and easy to install with no dyno needed. Dr Dyno has said a half hour on a dyno would give info if you needed to adjust any of the three pots.
Even though I am very satisfied with them I am going to try the new Super Chips programmer for the 12 VRod NRS. Got one 60% off at Sturgis and will try it out. If it does not work I will get the FI2000R-CL to put in it.

cobra fi2000 at
this is what i am running. i have a 2012 ultra-classic limited. i have the cobra fi2000 power-pro at/arlen ness big sucker air cleaner/s&s header system w/o o2 sensor,s/and a pair of TAILGUNNER GUNSHIPS on the backend. this bike runs real strong with this set-up. when i am running at 60mph the bike is barely doing 2,500rpm,s. it has not missed a beat it takes off at the line like a rocket. i coud not be more happy with the way my bike is running with this unit. i have read so many threads on tuner,s and map,s and other things. all i wanted was this to plug it in and ride. i do check my plugs once in awhile and the unit also. this thing will flat *** move and you can really feel it in the seat when i crank that throttle. roaddog007

I have a 2013 TriGlide with Rush True Dual Headers, free flow air cleaner, RC Components 4" mufflers and a stage one download. After riding for 1000 miles I installed the Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro CVT and what a difference. The Trike has better throttle response, runs up through the rpm's much smoother, exhaust note is deeper and it runs cooler. I am not saying it is the best thing in tuning but it dose work for my needs, just install and ride.

I just put the FI2000 PowerPro on my 2011 Ultra Limited about 6 weeks ago.
I really like this unit so far. I've ridden about 1800 miles with it and it's all been good.
I had the headpipe changed this weekend at Delmarva Bike week. I had American Custom put on their true dual head pipes. The Cobra never blinked. The Bike started right up and ran absolutely perfectly all weekend after the install. This was the feature that I really liked about the Cobra... no maps, automatically adjusts.

Cobra FI2000
I just put the cobra FI2000 Auto tune on my bike. So far I am blown away by the difference. Its like a new bike. More power and just a much smoother ride. I put on the python throwback exaust and the Screaming Eagle performance air cleaner kit and the bike has never ran this good.
I could see where the splice on the one sensor could cause a problem so I used silicone to seal it up and 2-1 shrink tubing. Also make sure you have the ground wire on the unit in the good place. If the ground wire breaks you could fry the board. Lucky everything for me fit nice under my seat.
The cobra kick's ***!
I ride a fatboy lo 2010.

I'm running the Cobra FI2000 on my 2009 Classic with Arlen Ness Stage 1 and Wyatt Gattling headers and American Custom mufflers. The bike runs much cooler and smooth with a strong torque range between 3000-5000 rpm. Gave up a little in the mpg but I won't complain, I do a lot of two up riding and my right leg isn't feeling the heat anymore.
