Go out and duck walk the bike around your driveway or street like they teach in the MSF course. Do it for 10 mins a day for a few days then put the bike away. This will help you build up some muscles which will help you get used to the weight. Turn it around, park it, get on and off it, do it again.
Then a few days of riding around your neighborhood. The bike feels less heavy if you have the strength to move it around when you're sitting on it, so go build up to that strength.
Thanks everyone for the great replies. I think I'll go buy a cheap Buell or Rebel to ride the rest of the summer. Someone said, I should of test rode before buying, true but I've rode shotgun on one for years always wanted one and the price was to good to pass up. Also it has forward controls but just bought mids untill I get confortable, had a lower seat installed. I've been riding dirt bikes since 5 yrs old and have been down more than once. The weight is just intimidating. I did take a riders class a few months back. Thanks again everyone!
