If I had to have a trike, I would get a side hack.
And you're going to lane split with a sidecar?

Who cares why anyone buys a trike?IT really doesnt matter I have had friends who bought them just to get their wives to ride on the back.It took some of the 2 wheel fear out of a ER nurse in one case. That alone probably saved their marriage
Exile still offers the trike. You can get a brand new one just like it if you have $37K.

I think this one was only $27500.There was a story behind it and the shop that had it for sale had several other build off bikes that were for sale

The main advantage of having a trike is that you don't fall over when standing still. Or even when moving, in most cases.

I've gotten a kick out of trikes ever since I saw Tom Laughlin ride one in "Born Losers" 'way back in 1967.

Haven't bought one yet, though. Although it looks unusual at first, the niftiest trike conversion I've seen was by DFW, with a "Corvette-style" rear end. The trunk was enormous.

I find Goldwing trikes interesting as well as HD trikes. Actually, I find the Can-Am touring trikes most interesting of all. Got to try a demo on one before much longer.

I'm wondering how long 'till someone comes out with a trike kit for the new Indian Chieftan?

I had made a accepted offer on the one in Denver for my wife .When we went to get it out and do a parking lot ride she hooked her heels into the cars carpet and wouldnt even get out. After I told the guy what was going on and left she came up with the idea of riding a spyder-------For the first time since I have had this wife I felt the need to beat my head on the concrete.Luckily she didnt get out of the car at the canam dealer either

Well, that just takes all the fun out of riding! (just kidding)

While riding up to Sturgis we stopped at a HD dealership in (I believe) Witchita. They had a V-Rod trike in the showroom that was really amazing -- unfortunately none of us took any pics(!) It looked like a factory product, but one of the guys there said it was a kit. Anybody else seen one?

Back to the OP: I have a few friends/acquaintances who ride trikes, and that's no matter to me. Personally, I think when I can't handle a two-wheeler I'll probably give it up.

I was surprised how many trikes I saw in Sturgis. Some of them were actually pretty cool and strangely appealing. These were all at the Rat's Hole Bike Show.
