It gives you the chills to see the remains of accidents as you pass by. Just hate to see it.
Way to many baggers trying to set land speed records on 800 lb bikes with luggage stacked up over their shoulders, two up. I see it quite offend and it amazes me. I guess some can and some can't. Hell of a way to find out your EG doesn't handle like a Ducati and your not Rossi.
We had a nice lunch ride yesterday but on our way home we had to detour around what looked like a crotch rocket into the back of an SUV...couldn't quite make it out and the medics were gone, just the cops waiting for a transport for the banged up bike. I'm hoping it wasn't major and the SUV was just blocking traffic. Couldn't find anything on the news.

very good point......too many people carrying way too much and doing the Kenny Roberts thing....slow down and enjoy or get a bike better suted for bending...
Its just part of riding, people riding above their skill level, People riding above the level of their bikes, People making emergency maneuvers for oncoming traffic etc etc, what are you supposed to do? Render help when needed and ride safe, you cannot be responsible for others every time you go out, especially those that do not ride within their or their bikes capabilities. Does it bother me? Sure, but I liken it to Sport Bikes, I love them, in my younger days I bought my first sport bike, to this day the only vehicle I have ever bought brand new, over the next couple years I bought 3 other sportbikes, all of which I bought from people who decided that sportbikes were not for them or scared the crap out of themselves. Motorcycles are not for everyone. We have all heard it time and time again, its not if its when, get your butt up and back in the saddle, the stories of those who have never been down with many many years experience are the anomaly.
I know you're kidding, but just for the record, my RKC has lean angles almost as good as your Wide Glide. (It's many of the Softails that won't lean.)
In truth, as many have said, these single bike accidents are most often a lack of experience generally or a lack of experience on the specific bike they are on that day. I trust my skills, but I still hate to see it.
