Crashed wearing a Nolan a few years ago and walked; now wear a Schuberth...smaller shell, lighter, quieter and more expensive. Do not spend more on a helmet than the contents are worth.
I have a GMax G54s Modular and I love it (and it won't kill your wallet)! I'm a newer rider, but this was terrific! It fits true, very comfortable, PLENTY of airflow (in and out), easy access to the drop-down sunshield, and it has speaker pockets for various audio devices. And it does have an led on the back you can activate (steady and different flash speeds) for riding at night, if you'd like. I'd definitely recommend!

Same one I have and love it. I bought mine off eBay for about $130. I am debating on buying the integrated brake module for the helmet that comes on when you fit the brakes. Pretty cool. Lots of vents, love the flip down sun visor and I can use one hand to flip the whole front up if I want.
I like it. When riding I always have the chin bar locked down. I see some guys riding around, usually at low speed, with the chin bar up. I don't recommend that. The chin bar should be down when riding, regardless of speed. It's nice to be able to lift up the chin bar though when stopped getting gas, taking a break, etc. YMMV.
