Default Boomstick Handlebars

Anybody rockin Boomstick Handlebars? I dig the looks and I got a friend that is selling one for $20 "in the box" because he ordered it by mistake. But I don't really know if this affects the riding position, or requires any additional hardware when switching from stock bars.

Thanks!

Matt

I have had a lot of different bars on my bikes over the years. Always loved the look of broom stick bars, only problem is zero pullback, unless you have risers with built-in pullback, and then you kind of lose that cool look. As long as bars are same diameter at riser clamp area, they should fit. I would grab the old wooden broomstick and hold it in place where new bars would put your hands to make sure you, and your back, like the new forward position.

Are they anything like "drag bars"?

Yes, without aany pullback. I have had them and loved them. You lean forward to the bars.

Okay! My Blackline has what I'd call, 2 piece drag bars. I'd like to get some taller risers and all in one piece but they cost too much and I'm not sure if I could change the over. So, I'll just stick with what I have.

The two places I sacrifice form for function are my seat, and bars.

I love tiny seats and drag bars, they look incredible, but my back demands a bit more accommodation.

As a result I'm running a mustang wide solo (a le pera bare bones would look a lot nicer but it wouldn't be nearly as comfortable) and the factory bars with 1.5" risers.

If your back can tolerate drag bars...run them while you can! I'm in my 30s now and I think my days of running drag bars are pretty much over. I'm actually in the best shape of my life, but my back hates being bent that far over.

Great, thanks for your advice. I think I'm gonna get them and give them a shot. After all they're just $20 and I could probably sell them for twice as much on ebay if I don't like em'
