I have some real close bro's that we do a few set "runs" each year.
One is the PA Grand Canyon, another is Mikeys BBQ, at least one run to the dragon for a weekend, Sturgis, and a fall run down and upthe skyway.
All told there are around18 bikes once we get together, but we all have rode together for years and know each others abilities.
The only real "structure" to those runs are the trip to and back. Once we hit the campground, you can ride with a group(normally 2 or 3 will plan something), or take off alone.
But after the day is done is when we all get together, party and swap lie...er...stories.

SinceI belong to the PGR,I also do the Parade style rides. They can get a bit nerve racking, but the reason we are there out weighs that. And if you ever really want to see something "different", checkout about 100 bikes with American Flags Flying, riding in a procession.
Now thats a sight to see.
I also can just plant my butt in the seat, headout the driveway, and turn left or right, and just ride.

Don't blame you for getting annoyed though, drunk, erratic riders can even shorten your life.
