Hey, why dont you just put the notches upside down on the left side then the throttle should be right

I wish, but I don't think it's quite that simple. I'd sure love to at least have the option of getting a newer model than an '07.

Turning the throttle backwards, wouldn't I think be the safest option as every time you reach for clutch or brake the possibility of rolling the throttle would be there. Best case would be to have someone re engineer the throttle sensor to work in reverse. Problem is finding someone way smarter than myself that could figure it out....

um, nice try, but not quite right. the only way to get the rotation correct would be to have the fly by wire sensor pointing from left to right. turn it upside down, it still rotates the same direction.

Can the wires be swapped and the throttle "clocked" to tell the computer the same inputs, but opposite so he could operate with the left hand?

It seems like it might be easier to modify a prosthetic that would allow you to use the throttle as is.

Don't use a prosthetic. No residual limb to assist with muscle control or stability. Oh, well. Stick with cables for now. No worries.

I don't know how much a throttle is, but if it was cheap enough, buy one, carefully disassemble the potentiometer and flip the actual variable resistor part of it. they're really nothing more then a home dimmer switch, just dealing with lower resistance and or voltage values.

like cobby said, a right foot throttle may work also. take a throttle assembly mount it on the frame with a link from a pedal to rotate the throttle sensor. it would take a little engineering and the first design may not look exactly right, but it can always be improved and tinkered with till its what you want.
