OP - Know what I like best about your picture? (I had an Ironhead sporty too).
We didn't worry about:
Am I a poser?
Do I need ***-less chaps or fingerless gloves?
Which MCycle jacket do I need?
etc
etc
We just rode..............
Denim everything was just fine, if that was what you had. Daytona?, ain't never been there. Sturgis?, what the hell. But I have been in an Outlaws bar in the early '80s, with a Hell's Angels patch holder. I have watched a TRUE 1% beat the living He77 out of a poser and run him out of the club. I have been in a Hell's Angels party where the POLICE politely removed the past out drunks and then shut the whole thing down because an A$$hole jumped in their **** while they were leaving. No, I don't ride down to the HD dealer every Saturday morning with my main squeeze all dolled up in every bit of HD branded clothing accessory, I don't have to.
The old dirtbike pic tskes me back to 1970/71 when I had a stripped down Honda SL-70. Just an engine/frame and knobby tires with a seat. Had a custom painted bright green metalflake gas tank. I was 13 years old and had so much fun riding miles of trails.
I'd go out and ride in the rain and muddy fields coming back at the end of the day covered totally head to toe in mud! Many times a cute young girl named Laura would hop on the back and we'd go riding two up together. Man, sure had some good times back then.
Thanks for posting the pics. I had a black '84 Ironhead Sporty too.
I had a new red 1973 Ironhead Sporty that I had painted black after one year due to crappy AMF paint. Other than that, it was a great bike and got me all over the mid-Atlantic and east coast. And yeah, my jacket was denim too!

I used to hate those SL-70s, you never could beat them in a race. Be it straight line or in the dirt that poor little 60cc Yamaha just did not have what I took.
Here are some of my memories. This is my 68 Sportster I did some custom work to in my second floor apartment in 71. Can't just post one photo. Need to show the time line.
I love my 04 Dyna after I did a major redue. But I wish I still had my 68.
