Default Looking for an independent Mechanic Exton, PA

Anyone know of a good, honest and reputable Mechanic/Technician or shop near Exton, PA? I have heard mixed things about the service areas at Smaltz and Hannums and don't want to risk getting burned.

Any and all help appreciated.

Also any feedback on Freedom Cycle in Wilmington, DE also appreciated.

Thanks!

Lee

If you would rather send mea private message with the info that works too. Just don't want to get possibly burned. I'm used to doing most of my own stuff.

Thanks

I've used both of the dealers you mention and found that Hannums in Chadds Ford was the better of the two. However, for the work that I can't do myself I go to Dream Bike Works in West Chester. It's a family business and they've always done right by me. Phil is kind of an old school Harley guy but he does work on almost every kind of bike. I highly recommend them.

I've only used Hannum's in Chadds Ford (the newer of the two). Always been EXCELLENT service there for me.

I've had too many issues with Smaltz over the years to be able to make any recommendation for even an oil change there. Been doing my own routine maintenance and minor repair, fortunately to date the scoot has been relatively problem free other than the '06 IPB nightmare I went through with Smaltz's. MoCo was great, I was two years out of warranty and at 26k and they payed for the full monty of replacing the IPB, primary and tranny cases to the '07 design on their dime. But all that good will was lost in dealing with Smaltz's, what a major PIA. Used Hannum's for tire changes with good success for a while but no major work. Recently found West Chester Cycles to do my tire changes, much better pricing than Hannum's for tire changes. John is good guy but have not used him for any major work so can't comment on that.
