You can always do it the old fashioned way... Buy some waxed canvas, a self inflating pad and a couple GI Wool blankets. You'd be less than $200.

In 40 plus years traveling by bike a hammock would have been as useful as tit's on a nun about 80% of the time .

Well then, if your a grumpy old smart *** like me then I thought you might appreciate not sleeping on the ground anymore

After 23 years of field exercises in the Army I've gotten smart enough to look for a more restful nights sleep

Check out Montana Canvas for the shell, get a good backpacking sleeping bag and a thermarest pad all rolled up into one and you got yourself a mighty fine set up. A lot of your better sleeping bags have a pocket on the backside for the thermarest pad to slip into.

I've had mine since 2010 and absolutely love it. They were doing well when I bought mine but from what I've heard it sounds like the dude lost his cheap labor at the prison and has been having a hard time making it.

I hate hearing about someone going under and the last few years, I've been hearing a lot about businesses going under.

He was a standup guy and treated people right but don't know what is going on with him now.

Small, lightweight and no sleeping on the ground. I use this camping as well as when I go to do a field exercise.
Looks like a great idea but I'd be worried that if I rolled over in my sleep (which I do a lot) I'd end up on the ground when the bottom opened up.

This is a good one for taking on the bike, I've seen it used in the real world and it appears to work well. He makes them for both Dyna's and Land Barges. If he made one for Softails I would have one.

Hate to hear this. A riding buddy of mine purchased one a couple of years ago for the Hoka Hey and LOVES it!

I wish I had bought one back then now.

Hopefully he will come out of this or at least sell the name and rights to someone that can market it successfully.
