I use Mobil One V-Twin Full Synthetic 20w-50 oil in my bike. Getting ready for the last ride of the season, so I'll be putting it away til Spring. I have about 18-1900 miles on the oil since I changed it. Would you change it again before storage, or just put it away and ride it a few more thousand miles next year before changing? I know all the stories about dirty oil in your bike over winter, etc., and I've always changed my oil before putting my bike away. But it seems a waste of $$$$ to throw out $11.00 per qt. oil after less than 2,000 miles. what do you think?

You'll be ok. Just don,t make it a habit to leave it in there every winter.
I really wouldn't get all worried about it, in the spring blast about another 600 miles on her and change if you want to. Please don't be one of the ones that subscribe to warming their bike up a couple of times during the winter..........doesn't do an engine good.

If you've been doing a lot of short trips change it. If you've been running it long enough and your confident that you don't have any condensation build up leave it in and don't worry about it
Its Synthetic....it doesnt know time all it knows is miles. Itll be just fine when you fire back off in the spring. Get your mileage out of it thats why you pay for it!
