Oil cooler
There are other ways of reducing your oil temperature if it is running higher than you would like:
1. Enriching your AFR if your bike is running too lean
2. Converting to full synthetic oil if you still use dino oil
IMO, your oil temperature must reach at least 212°F so the moisture and condensate in the oil can burn off. I am happy with my engine oil running between 215 and 230°F. I live in central Texas.
Don't get me wrong, if your oil temperature is running high, an oil cooler is certainly an appropriate way of lowering the temperature, but, you don't want the temperature too low.

I am looking at all my options to keep my bike in great mechanical shape(wife said I need to keep this for awhile. This is my 3rd purchase in 4 years. I better be happy this time.)
Thanks to all,
Ronnie

I am trying to figure out this site. Thank you for the great response. I am still learning what I need to in order to keep my bike in great shape.
You have alot of knowledge in this matter and I would like to talk more if that is ok with you. I enjoy working on my own vehicles.
I am looking to personalize this bike and have been doing research into the many options available.
Thanks again,
Ronnie
