That is a hell of a sell on that voodoo. How do you like it and would you buy it again?
Thanks
I have the Power Trip Voodoo (in fact I recommended it to tmitchellof), and I think it's great. I wore it all last summer here in SoCal in temps up to 110 degrees, and was pretty comfortable (totally comfortable up to about 95 degrees, then comfortable when moving over that). I think that for the money it's a tremendous bargain. It also looks good, and doesn't have goofy logos all over it. Fits true to size (I wear a 46 jacket, and a Large in the Voodoo). In slightly cooler weather I wear a HD Aeration perforated leather jacket for which I purchased armor, and in cold weather I wear a Fox Creek heavy leather jacket. I'm thinking of selling the FC jacket in the fall, as it has no armor and no provision for it, and getting something else.

Thanks for the response. I have been looking for a summer riding jacket but am leary of buying online with out actually seeing in person. Think I will go ahead and purchase this one. You say the large fits you well. If you do not mind me asking what height and weight are you.
I have a large size, Power Trip Voodoo jacket and it fits perfect. I am 5'11" and 185 lbs.
I also have a large size Cortech Coastal, it fits a little snugger then the Power Voodoo. The Cortech Coastal comes with a detachable liner and separate liners for the sleeves. I haven't taken the liners out of it yet. Once I do it will probably fit a shade better. I had to return the Cortech jacket because their chart showed I needed a medium. The chart was wrong. While I was waiting on the jacket to come back in the right size, I bought the Voodoo, because it was on such a good sale and was highly recommended. Now that I have the Cortech jacket I haven't worn it, because I am so happy with the Voodoo one. When you are moving on the bike it is cooler with the Voodoo on than no jacket. The perforated mesh lets the air in and it cools you down and you don't have the sun heating up your bare skin.

Thanks for the info on the Voodoo. I ordered one - kinda hard to pass up at that price. I have an all mesh jacket but I like the idea of having leather in critical areas.
Personally, I have a Joe Rocket for riding in the scorching heat. I just don't feel comfortable riding in a t-shirt. Unlike a lot of folks out there with kevlar deposits in their skinapparently, my skin is susceptible to road rash if I go down. I also bought the zip in rain liner, which has come in handy more than once.

I haven't tried any of the others but my wife gave me River Road mesh jacket this year. It has armored elbow, shoulders and back with a zippered liner...all for about $99. I think I'm going to like it alot.
I bought one of the Voodoo Leather Mesh/Jacket from motorcycle closeout, and wore it for the first time yesterday. It WAS much cooler than my $9zillion HD leather jacket, but it feels goofy. It really is just a container for the protective plates, and I hope if I ever fall that the plates will stay close enough to where they need to be. It is the right size, but doesn't fit very well.
I realize the HD jackets are overpriced, but they do work well. This jacket that I paid $80 for is better than not wearing a jacket at all in warm weather, which is why I bought it. But it DID make me appreciate how well the HD stuff works.
And, yeah, this looks like another post I made elsewhere. I'm trying to get as many posts as I do miles riding. Only 18,000 more posts to go.
