Right this five minutes I know that you dont have the choice to ride but I wish for you that you will be able to make that choice again when its time. Last year on Aug 25th ,2013 something happened on a ride that is causing me to question if I want to continue sharing the road on two wheels. I didnt ride much after that day. I have about four months to get my mind right. While Im waiting for spring I look forward to reading your progress reports. Ill continue to send positive energy up your way and if you get a minute send a little back down here.

After my first one when I got back on the bike it was really hard nobody expects to go down. Mine was very minor but road rash is something you don't want to have. It probably too me 2 months before I was comfortable on the bike. I even took it to the shop because I felt it was handling badly. They found nothing all mental.
I've been hurt before too, my doctor said I'd never get much use from my left leg again, and that after he decided we didn't have to amputate it. My recovery went well for a lot of reasons, I think one big reason is that I took the time to heal, follow doctors instruction and physical therapy as instructed even at home. I didn't rush or take risks...too many have limited recovery because they do too much too soon.
You are truly an inspiration to everyone here & to all who know you I'm sure.
Sounds as if you had/have a fantastic medical team & hospital responsible for saving your life & for your recovery. That was a horrible thing that happened to you but thank God you are here & alive. Best wishes for your contiinued recovery.

A truly inspiring story of perseverance and courage. I received the STARS lottery mailer today; bought three tickets in your honour cuz I know you wouldn't be here without their help!
STARS has definitely become my charity of choice. You're right - I wouldn't have survived ground transport. Here's hoping you win something of significance. I'm holding out for either the house or the HD myself!
