My wife has done the Diamond Ice treatment to her sporty, unfortunatly it also led to a complete makeover, the "bling" dont show up well against chrome but against black it looks good.

My wife recently mentioned wanting these parts for her '08 Heritage.
I'm sort of ticked off, not because of the cost of these parts, but because I installed the complete set of 105th covers.

Oh well, it's only money and she loves that bike so I'll be ordering them shortly.
Is that not the way women do things around the house also? They get tired of a certain chair, couch, whatever and replace it even if it's never been sat on because they are tired of the "look".

I never got into "themes" on a bike myself.

Interesting statement because you could insert the word "men" in place of "girls" and the exact same thing could be applicable.

Thoughts on anyone who has these or has seen them.
The only two groups of people I can think might have this type of trim on their HD's is Women and the boyz in the hood..

You want to revive Liberace? Go ahead, just don't temporarily blind anyone.

Default trying to remove

I just bought a sporty that has the diamond ice ring around the speedo. It's missing half the rhinestones and looks like crap so I want to take it off. Does anyone know how I can get it off w/o damaging the speedo. Will I need to get a new ring to replace this one? Thanks in advance for any help.

The ring is attached to the speedometer with a pressure sensitive adhesive. There is double-sided sticky tape on the bottom of the ring. To remove it, I suggest that you use a hair dryer to warm up the ring and the speedometer housing that it is attached to so that the adhesive will soften. Then use either a piece of fishing line or dental floss to "saw" between the ring and the speedometer to cut the adhesive. The line/floss is softer than the chromed speedometer housing and should not scratch it. You will likely have to remove the residual adhesive on the housing using a solvent - acetone, nail polish remover, Goo-gone, etc. Do not get any solvent on your painted surfaces though.

Good luck!

I just ordered the air cleaner cover, timing cover, derby cover gas cap, speedo ring and these pants to match.
