My First Ride...

Since I had my right knee replaced. It felt great to get back in the wind once again, even though I only rode around town for a little while and had the bike inspected (state requirement). Getting on and off of the bike was still a little hard for me and will probably wait another couple of months before I get out again. I think a bit more rehab is needed and hopefully by spring I will be ready to go.

Glad you were able to get out. Have you tried getting on and off from the right side instead? It's easier for my knees.

I will probably have to learn to get on the bike from the right side but I will probably have to lower it. I do know I am paying for being out on the bike today. Hopefully nothing a little ice and elevation won't take care of.

Good to know that you're out and about. Take it easy with the new knee and don't do too much! And remember, getting on from the right side, they tend to buck some.

I don't know when I will be able to ride again. Looking back, I probably should have waited another month before trying to ride. There has been more pain and swelling today than what I have had in the past month
