I've rode in the rain plenty, but try to avoid it when possible. When I can't I ride cautiously.

I try to keep the rain off my old evo AND my old **** as much as possible. But I don't let it stop me either. Like others have said, awareness level goes on 11.

I have logged thousands of miles in the rain... slow down, increase following distance, keep the bike UPRIGHT when turning on paint strips, avoid manhole covers, no sudden movements, no hard braking or acceleration, and keep on going down the road.

Living in florida Ive done a bit of riding in the rain....downpours as well.....sometimes it comes in so fast I have no choice.
I don't fear it, but man I just don't like it.
I don't think even with my tires gripping I would push it much past 55-60.

I hate riding in the rain when it is cold. Try to avoid it when I can but sometimes it just is what it is. The warm rain however really is not so bothersome. Sometimes it is a relief if it is hot enough. That is unless it has been a long time between rains. That can put the hurt on you pretty fast in these parts. It can be like riding on ice on some of the old roads around here.

I rode alot in the rain in the Philippines, but it's a warm rain. I didn't usually gear up for it unless it was going to be an all day type of rain, even then sometimes I'd just ride through it.

Here in the mountains of California you always need to be ready to gear up for rain or seek cover. It can get real cold, real quick.

Motorcycle tires are less likely to hydroplane then car tires. The shape of the bike tire is the reason.

it isn't the rain that I mostly worry about, its vision, the amount of water on the road and the cages behind me (not necessarily in that order). When there is a lot of surface water and traffic I will ride in the tire tracks of the car in front of me. And of course riding cautiously is paramount.

People claim that. But I have had scary skids way more on my bike, than in my car.

Absolutely correct! I use "raincoat" for my visor on my FF, that i use in rain and find it to work great.
