Icey outside now, suppose to warm up in the 50s tomorrow and stay warm all week. Hang in there the south winds are gonna start to blow consistent. Just make sure youre points are filed, your chain oiled and your fueled up and ready to go. The warm balmy gulf coast breeze will be up there before you know it.
We had -28 here this morning and set a all time record string of 24 days in a row below zero in the morning. 50 of the past 70 days have been below zero. It's 10 above tonight and supposed to stay above zero for a couple nights before dipping for a few more.
I am reminded by some friends that the issue is no longer global warming and that it has been replaced by "climate change". That way no matter what happens they can blame it on anything one desires...
Normally I ride all winter. This year I have not gotten in one ride. We have had record lows. Toady it was 22 below which beat the last record of 15 below set in 1885!
Even in the few double digit days it was not possible to ride as we have had records amounts of snow and continual high winds that kept areas of the road covered with snow. Since we also have had a record amount of snow and the temps have been so low that it has been all powder which keeps closing in the roads.
Winter has beat me this year. I am 73 and lived here all my life. I have never seen it this bad. I finally think that I should move South!
The question is just where did our wonderful global warming go? Or have they be lying to use all along just to get carbon taxes. You think?
When it gets really cold "global warming" becomes "climate change"!
They actually call it "Global Weirding" because some places get warmer while others get colder . . . the average of the planet is the "Global Warming" thing. The phenomena isn't politics . . . it's science. We may not like it, but that won't make it go away.
In the mean time, it's in the mid 70's here this week and may get into the 80's this weekend. Sorta sucks to be elsewhere . . . . It's why I live here! If I get really curious I can watch it on TV (Olympics for example) or the internet . . . then I get bored and I pour m'self a drink with the only ice I have in it . . . . and then I relax or go for a ride.

Don't be thinking you can speak freely here! Or pretty much anywhere else in this country, now. Yeah, "global weirding"! That's a good one! Since "global warming" isn't panning out (the earth hasn't warmed in 17 years as VERIFIED BY NASA) they HAVE to come up with something else. I guess "global weirding" will do. Or the old standby, "climate change". Or the older standby, "fraud".
